Landmark
One of the core initiatives of the Dietzel Foundation is to revitalize historical landmarks on the campus of Louisiana State University. This rehabilitation of landmarks is done through increasing awareness, engaging student activism, innovative restoration methods, and the pooling of corporate and personal endowments.
Our plan of action is separated into three tiers, focusing on a different location on campus at each tier. We have provided a grant to the Landmark at LSU student organization, to focus on the first tier — as we move to raise awareness and support for these special locations on campus. Furthermore, we are taking proactive steps to curtail any further deterioration of the landmarks due to weather, time, or human interference.
